Amanoi, located in Vietnam, is part of a global hotel chain Aman. Though all of its resorts and hotels use the same typeface, I wanted to have a Vietnamese accent in Amanoi’s logotype. To make Amanoi’s logotype distinguishable from other hotel branches, I found inspirations from Amanoi’s architecture, the beautiful scenery surrounding it, and of course, the culture. I, then, recalled Vietnam has a beautiful cursive script that almost all of its citizens were taught since a very young age. That’s how the logotype was made.
